Permanent Make up.

Get ready  to wake up with no need for make up!

Semi Permanent Eyebrows are at The Studio.

Perfect brows, specifically designed and customised to your individual brow goals.

Permanent makeup is a safe and completely controlled form of tattooing in which pigment is implanted into the upper layer of the skin, and can be applied using a variety of methods.  It is also known by many other names such as; cosmetic tattooing, semi-permanent makeup, soft tap or microblading , micropigmentation, feather brows.

Although permanent cosmetics can fade over time and require periodic touch-ups, they are considered permanent because the colour cannot be washed off.  Many refer to this service as Semi-Permanent make up - they are both the same service.

Permanent makeup is wonderful for those whom live a busy, active lifestyle, that just want to minimise their beauty routine, but also, permanent make up is a gift for those whom may have lost their eyebrows due to health, genetics or even a bad 90's wax job.....

Whatever your reason, we understand that permanent makeup is a big decision and one that takes careful consideration.

At The Studio we pride ourselves in consulting with you to create a look that flatters and compliments your face.

We place a high priority on safety and hygiene providing our services in a dedicated permanent make up room with a fully-certified technician. We take the time to ensure you leave feeling beautiful and confident and happy with our services.

microblading

Microblading

Microblading is our most natural looking form of  semi-permanent make up artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual blade. We draw hair-like strokes to mimic natural hairs in your brows using a specialised pigment.  If you prefer a more shaded in, makeup look, microblading is not for you. Not ideal for everyone including oily skin types, mature or damaged skin, and clients with little to no brow hairs.

combination brows

Combination

Combo: Microblading + Shading.

Combo adds powdered, soft, dusty colour throughout the brow, between the microbladed textured look from hair strokes to achieve softer and fuller brows.  Better option for oily/combination skin, clients with sparse eyebrows, and if you prefer a slightly more dramatic look than micro-blading can give. Shading can be done sheer to medium coverage

Powder/Ombre

Powder & omber are achieved by machine & have a powdery, makeup look. Cleaner edges because this technique is done with a smaller configuration of needles.

Ideal for most skin and for clients with previous work on the brows if colour is light enough and not discoloured.

Ombre Powder Brows are darker at the tails and gradually lightens as it gets to the head of the brow where it looks as though makeup has been sprinkled as a pixeled or dotted effect creates a more realistic more elegant approach.

Common Questions:

Do I have to come in twice for my eyebrows?

Depending on the clients eyebrow goals, sessions will vary person to person.

Roughly 20% of clients only need one session because they either want an extremely natural look, or have more brow to work with naturally.

70% of clients will want/need a second session to build sheer layers of colour for the best result.

10% of clients will need a 3rd session due to health, skin type and how it heals which cannot be guaranteed, and other factors.

How often do I need to come back after my initial appointment & touch up?

Even though it is called permanent makeup, microblading does not last forever. An annual touch up is highly recommended.

It is only similar to a tattoo, but the pigment is not inserted as deep, and it is gradually broken down by the body. That’s why microblading fades away after some time.

Microbladed eyebrows generally last 12-18 months, but in some cases they may last as long as 3 years.

The factors that affect the longevity of microblading are:

  • skin type

  • skincare routine

  • lifestyle

  • and the frequency of touch-ups.
